Before the start of the Year of the Horse, wooden horse to be exact, I told myself that I had to write something in my blog–why it has been difficult for me to finish all the drafts doesn’t amuse me.

I heard last night that for those people born on the year of the rooster, business will be good this year but there’s a tendency to procrastinate and let it pass. I am not really a big believer of zodiac signs nor Chinese astrology, but even before the year of the horse started, I already met a potential client–so maybe the horoscope is true.

It’s going to be a long weekend in Singapore. I’m not Chinese. Most of the shops are closed. To avoid boredom, my friends and I planned to go to Kuala Lumpur.

Did you know that it’s much cheaper to take the route Johor – KL than Singapore-KL? Though it’s less convenient, a $60SGD-saving is so much worth it. My return ticket costs me only $30 SGD while my friend’s is almost $100.

It’s a shame that I haven’t really been to Petronas Tower eventhough I have been residing in Singapore for more than 9 years. It’s not that I seldom travel to Malaysia, it’s just that I felt that KL is just an arm’s length and I can always visit the famous tower anytime I like. The same mentality runs in my mind whenever my friends invite me to visit the tourist places in the Philippines. I have been to most of the Southeast Asian countries but I’ve only been to 4 famous tourist spots in the Philippines.

It’s going to be the best time to explore KL. I’m with 6 of my friends so I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a one-hell-of-a-trip. Eventhough I favor traveling alone, there’s still joy in going out in a group–as long as tantrums don’t ruin the day. We will be exploring the local markets, will savor the local food in Jalan Imbi, Jalan Alor, will join the pubcrawl and will visit Putrajaya, Chinatown, among others.
