I read from Inquirer.net that the Philippine government is going to give $200,000.00 to the victims of a China earthquake. There’s nothing wrong with being generous and kind to other countries, but this is just too ironic. I believe that the homeless and below-poverty families in the Philippines are in more need of this money. China has the biggest foreign currency reserve in the whole world, I’m sure $200K is nothing to them. But $200K can give families a decent home to stay to, children can be sent to schools with scholarships, and state universities can upgrade their equipments and buildings with this amount of money.
I’m wondering, is this more of a show off? Still scratching my head…thinking.
