The Philippine’s top university is going on the lead again by implementing a monorail in its campus. University of the Philippines (Diliman) and DOST is on track in installing a 500-meter-long elevated railway that can handle 60 passengers. But what interests me more is that the technology and the design was conceptualized by our local engineers and scientists!

The project is also known as Automated Guideway Transit. It will serve as a pilot project for the future monorail implementations in other cities like Taguig, Makati, etc.

I can’t wait to visit my Alma mater when the monorail starts operating.
