So what’s the L in my new juice? Lemon! I read that its benefits ranges from
“strong antibacterial, antiviral, and immune-boosting powers and their use as a weight loss aid because lemon juice is a digestive aid and liver cleanser. Lemons contain many substances–notably citric acid, calcium, magnesium, vitamin C, bioflavonoids, pectin, and limonene–that promote immunity and fight infection.” taken from 15 Hidden Secrets of Lemons
Normally, I use a squeezer to extract the juice, but for this experiment, I sliced the lemon and put them directly to the juicer. Sometimes I do remove the seeds, but most often, I just wash and brush the lemon then shoot it to the juicer. This made my juice slightly sour and salty. If you prefer your juice to be more sweet, you can always add more carrots and apple. #happyJuicing!
